Presenting The SILVER MINING GAME part of [SES] Silver Economy Simulation
This is a presentation of Silver Mining Game Concept in Second Life that I did in chat of Linden Gold Hunters Group (currently 37 007 group members)

All right I wanted to make this presentation for many days already. Ever since I sent a notice with EUREKA in it about a week ago...
When I figured it out - all the components fell in together nicely... It came out like a beautiful game system - that can produce in SL a role playing sub-currency as a virtual product in a way that Linden Lab won't see it as a problem (no money laundering potential and other legal problems).
And ofcourse before any production I'll present it to Linden Lab product managers and ask if they're ok with it.
But 1st I want to present it to you all
TO QUICKLY RECAP: Not sure if all remember but we've been asked to cease with the ALPHA testing of SES - Silver Economy System that was featuring a silver exchange where players were able to buy and sell silver on exchange. The LL as it was presented to me by LL product manager Derick Linden saw a problem with players after they bought silver in exchange being able to sell it back (cited money laundering and other potential legal problems - > which I think could be the problem silver functioned as a security or in layman terms a stock or a share).
So at that time...
Within a month I presented LL 4 different re-designs of the SES game without ability for players to sell silver back after they buy it on exchange...
...
After 1 month and consultation with their legal department...
I got a green light...
but the problem was...
the whole incentive to play that game collapsed
Main problem was why would people mine silver
Then I started working on a mmorpg type of game... that will use silver...
but that would still not be enough..
The mmorpg game Battle Avatar is in pre-alpha testing phase and will continue with installing it at few land owners places so that we can have players play it and squash some bugs... Its a MMORPG where you get L$ drops for every monster you kill and the landowners set in the budget and monsters come ^^ Its addictive and fun and has great potential. I paused it for some time until I feel at strength enough to continue that massive project. It could affect my health... so before doing that I need to sort all things in RL.
The way silver will work will be to fuel other role playing games and communities....
For role playing games L$ is not suitable because psychologically to players it seems too valuable...
and also it can not be transacted through scripts like for example in automatic way when some action within role play game is performed
for example... some role play community could set up an event... that if you join it and you're there you get silver for every 5 minutes of being present on a meeting... We already had that
and it was amazing...
but as soon as players would not be able to sell their silver for L$ the whole structure collapsed... now I came up with a new solution to still make it possible
SILVER MINES
you can see 3D model of it here at the meeting place: Business Park (165,162,98)
and here https://gyazo.com/4e37b4ef7f2c1a4628782e217f79c7ba
players will mine silver but the supply (how many silver you will get from it when collecting) will vary...
The total supply in 4 - 8 years (still needs to be specified) will be fixed.... probably to 21 000 000
Seeing how players like to water the biowaste farms for small rewards and currently real watering euphoria going on... I will make it so that every 1 hour players will need to click it (to mine some silver) - possible reward will be some amount of silver and or L$ specified by the miner...
The supply of silver will follow the time line. (not sure how many of you here know about how bitcoin supply is deflationary). But the way the silver will work... at 1st as there are not many total miners you'll be able to mine a lot of silver
and as total miners increases (more people buy mines) the output of 1 silver mine will be smaller and smaller.... and the silver will be more and more valuable...
now another problem that I solved...
as per LL request free market (trading) of silver is not allowed
Silver miners will be able to sell the silver they mine (and only the mined silver - not the one bought) on SILVER MARKET (its no longer going to be silver exchange)
Silver will be sold 1 way (from miners to players). Players will not be able to sell silver on the SILVER MARKET.
Now my solution how to make players being able to realize the value of silver I came up with and called it an EUREKA moment is:
Silver miners will be able to sell the silver they mine (and only the mined silver - not the one bought) on SILVER MARKET (its no longer going to be silver exchange)
Silver will be sold 1 way (from miners to players). Players will not be able to sell silver on the SILVER MARKET.
Now my solution how to make players being able to realize the value of silver I came up with and called it an EUREKA moment is:
Players will be able to use the silver they gained from games of bought on silver market to buy more silver mines (and become silver miners or add to their total number of silver mines they own and operate).
So there will be 2 ways to BUY SILVER MINES
1) You buy it for L$ on SL Marketplace
2) You buy it with silver you produced or bought from other Miners who sell it on Silver Market
And another very very important solution! ->
The Silver Mines that you will buy for silver or for L$ YOU will be able to sell to other people for L$!!
It will work very similar as GACHA
you will rez your silver mine on the floor and set a price you want to sell it for and other players will pay L$ into it and the buyer will get the silver mine with same ID sent while the one inworld from old owner who just sold it will delete itself
there will be no (FREE TRADe) no open market as LL doesn't allow it. But the price of silver mines will fluctuate in L$ and also in SILVER :) we will also have to keep re-adjusting the price of silver mines on SL Marketplace for L$.... For example if its going to be a mad rush to buy lots of silver mines we will raise the price in L$.... because all silver mines are ran on server and we don't want 100000 of mines in SL (they'd crash the server) - 1000s will be ok..
But this will also mean that you will be able to sell your mines you bought when they were priced lower in L$ on marketplace... and after they price is raised... you will be able to sell your silver mines for a higher price than you paid for it...
So by buying silver mines early and if demand for this product is very high and we have to increase prices then you will be able to sell them at higher prices just the same as you can sell GACHA items after they're no longer available on gacha market...
It is not a stock market at all
and it is not like...
By designing the whole game like this it is a legit game
where you're using your L$ to buy an actual product
It will be like GACHA
you will buy silver mines and mine silver
you will be able to use silver to buy more silver mines
or you will use L$ to buy more silver mines
you will be able to sell silver mines that you buy for silver to other player for L$...
With this the BIG problem why would players mine silver (where is the incentive for it) is SOLVED!
In Satoshi Nakamoto (the inventor of bitcoin who also used ideas from GAME THEORY) to solve a very complex problem of trust,,, ^^
Now of course I will put this game plan into a format that I can introduce to Linden Lab and they will probably run it through their lawyers...
and if we get a GREEN LIGHT we are going to be allowed to create a GAME in SL that will be able to increase interest for Second Life and make it grow in its use...
[18:02] Wili Clip: As once the miners and silver mining is set in motion... there will be lots of silver going around and we are going to be able to create API's that other game creators will be able to use to integrate silver into their games and role playing scenarios...

I am soon going to send an official request to Linden Lab product managers for review of the idea and if they can give us green light to develop the above game system.

I think the idea of mining is a fantastic idea. The only question I have is how will some mines be worth more than others. will they look different if they have more value? Would you plan to make all mines look the same?
I think the idea of mining to get silver so you can collect more mines sounds very interesting and being able to sell off the mines that you have too. So I wonder if the goal would be to gain as many mines as possible.
